| Asthma and Beclovent:
If you are suffering from asthma, the best medication available to you is beclovent. The medicine works by providing an effective anti-inflammatory action in the lungs. This is available in the form of inhaler and the beclovent inhaler is generally recommended to adults and children for mild or moderate management of severe asthma. In case of mild asthma, beclovent should be given on a regular basis while on the other hand in case of moderate asthma several other medicines should be consumed along with the beclovent inhaler.
Side Effects And Beclovent Discontinued:
There are some side effects of the beclovent and in such cases the beclovent is discontinued. The high doses are especially recommended for long periods of time. Some of the side effects of beclovent may include retardation of growth in children and adults, decrease in the mineral density of the bones, glaucoma as well as cataract. When these conditions become extreme and severe, the doctor prescribes for beclovent discontinued. Along with the discontinuation of the inhaler, the side effects must be treated upon immediately. Some of the hypersensitive reactions might include rashes, pruritus, urticaria, erythema, and even oedema of the eyes, lips, face, and throat. Initially the doctors give a starting dose of small amount. If that amount of dose does not work the amount of dosage is increased. The dosage to be given again depends on the condition of the patient and the severity of inhalation problem. Until a good control is achieved, the dosage might be adjusted.
Dosage Of Beclomethasone Inhalation
When the case is extremely severe, the starting dose might have to be increased to 600 to 800 micrograms per day. Again based on the severity, the dose may be reduced. This dise is reduced only when the condition of the asthma attains a stable position. The total daily dose may be given as two, three, or four divided doses. The dosage varies in accordance with the age. For Children it is recommended for 50 to 100 micrograms which should be given two, three or four times daily. This should however be given based in accordance to the response. On the other hand, 100 micrograms or 200 micrograms should be given twice daily. The usual starting dose is 100 micrograms. However, Beclovent 200 Inhaler should not be given to children. There is definitely no need to increase the dose in those patients who are suffering from hepatic or renal impairment.
