Unidep SR® is manufactured by Consern Pharma. The sustain release doses form of Unidep SR® keeps steadier levels of the drug in the bloodstream, meaning that it can be taken less frequently than a controlled release tablets.
The active ingredient of Unidep SR® Bupropion Hydrochloride is an antidepressant, which inhibits the re-uptake of a certain chemical substance in the brain called neurotransmitters (noradrenaline and dopamine).
Working in the brain, Bupropion Hydrochloride dramatically improves the mood and well-being of the individual, facilitating the Nicotine and Tobacco withdrawal symptoms such as craving, restlessness, headaches, irritability, hunger, difficulty with concentration, or just feeling awful.
Unidep SR® is also used for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD), seasonal affective disorder (SAD), hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in women, as a condition which can cause emotional distress and problems in intimate relationships.

Take a pill of Unidep SR® orally with a full glass of water with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
Swallow Unidep SR® whole. Do not crush or chew before swallowing.
The usual dosage of Unidep SR® is 1 tablet once a day for the first 6 days, increasing on the 7-th day to 1 tablet twice a day with 8 hours interval.
Elderly people, those with any kidney or liver problems and people with a higher risk of fits should continue taking Unidep SR® once a day and not increase to twice a day.
Start taking Unidep SR® 1 to 2 weeks before you quit smoking.
Take Unidep SR® for 7 to 12 weeks after you stop smoking.
You can take it for as long as 6 months to a year.
If you want to achieve most effective results do not stop taking Unidep SR® suddenly.
Missing a dose
If you miss a dose you should take it as soon as you remember about your missing. If it is the time for the next dose you should continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not exceed the doctor's recommended dose.
If an overdose occurs and you are not feeling well, you should seek emergency medical attention or contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F) and away from excess moisture and heat. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date. Keep out of the reach of children.
